Site: DO NOT USE (whirlpool/spa)-Lido Whirlpool Mechanical Room
Violation: There was a steady drip from the reduced pressure zone assembly unit.
Recommendation: Ensure that backflow preventers are maintained in good repair.

Site: Potable Water-Cross-Connection Control Program
Violation: The program listed a Watts NLF9 as the backflow prevention device for a few coffee machines and spray hoses. When checked, the devices were Watts N9.
Recommendation: Ensure that the cross-connection control program includes at minimum: a complete listing of cross-connections and the backflow prevention method/device for each, so that there is a match to the plumbing system component and location, and an inspection frequency. Ensure that air-gaps are included in the listing.

Site: Potable Water-
Violation: The potable water lines in the whirlpool mechanical rooms had a light blue label with a dark blue arrow. Some potable water lines in the engine room had either a blue/green/blue label or a light blue label with a white arrow. There were also a few potable water lines with a small pipe diameter with just a blue stripe in the engine room.
Recommendation: Ensure that potable water piping and fittings are painted or striped auxiliary blue, or in accordance with ISO 14726, at 5 m (15 feet) intervals on each side of partitions, decks, and bulkheads in all spaces, except where the decor would be marred by such markings. Provide a consistent color labeling for the potable water lines on the vessel.

Violation: The drain line for the mineralizer backwash had a blue/green/blue label which indicated potable water.
Recommendation: Ensure the drain line is labeled with colors that do not indicate potable water.

Violation: The shepherd's hook was not located in a prominent location.
Recommendation: Ensure that an easy-access shepherd's hook and approved floatation device (with a length of line 1/2 the pool width or 16 m (50 feet)) is provided at a prominent location near each public swimming pool.

Site: Recreational Water Facilities-Pelican Pool
Violation: There were no depth markers at the pool. Per staff, the pool was closed for maintenance and the depth markers will be placed once the pool is open.
Recommendation: Ensure that the depth of each pool is prominently displayed so that it can be seen from the deck and in the pool. Ensure that depth markers are labeled in feet or meters, or both,. Additionally, ensure that depth markers are installed for every 1 m (3 feet) in change of depth.

Violation: The time as a public health control plan stated that potentially hazardous foods would be clearly labeled with a discard time. However, foods on the buffet were not clearly labeled. Per staff, the buffet was open less than four hours and food was discarded at the end of service.
Recommendation: Ensure the time as a public health control plan reflects the service in this area.

Violation: Per staff, the ice machines were cleaned with the Kool Draft ice machine cleaner. The machines were not run through a sanitizing with a sodium hypochlorite solution after the cleaning, per the manufacturer's instructions.
Recommendation: Ensure that the cleaning of equipment such as ice bins and beverage dispensing nozzles and enclosed components of equipment such as ice makers, cooking oil storage tanks, and distribution lines, beverage, and syrup dispensing lines or tubes, and coffee bean grinders is conducted: (1) At a frequency specified by the manufacturer, or (2) If manufacturer specifications are absent, at a frequency necessary to preclude accumulation of soil or mold.

Violation: The artificial light level could not be raised to 220 lux for cleaning purposes. This area was used to store desserts during service.
Recommendation: Ensure that the light intensity is at least 220 Lux (20 foot candles) on food preparation surfaces, and at a distance of 75 centimeters (30 inches) above the deck in food preparation areas, handwashing facilities, warewashing areas, equipment, and utensil storage, pantries, toilet rooms, and consumer self-service areas.

Violation: Condensate had collected on the bulkhead and deckhead around the warewash machine. Condensate was dripping from the cold air return and hood around the warewash machine onto the deck.
Recommendation: Ensure that ventilation hood systems and devices are sufficient in number and capacity to prevent grease or condensation from collecting on bulkheads and deckheads.
