Housekeeping-Outbreak Prevention and Response Plan (OPRP)
Violation:
The written OPRP identified and detailed concentrations only for Mikro-Bac 3 and not the Accell disinfectant that was the only one on board at the time of inspection. Additionally, the plan did not detail procedures for respiratory and dermal protection of both the passengers and crew exposed to the disinfectants used during gastrointestinal illness elevations.
Recommendation:
Ensure each vessel has a written OPRP that details standard procedures and policies to specifically address AGE onboard. Include the following in the written OPRP:(3) Disinfectant products or systems used, including the surfaces or items the disinfectants will be applied to, concentrations, and required contact times. (6) Procedures to protect the passengers and crew from exposure to disinfectants, if not already included in the vessel?s safety management system. Ensure this protection includes: (a) Material safety data sheets (MSDSs); (b) Personal protective equipment for crew; (c) Health and safety procedures to minimize respiratory and dermal exposures to both passengers and crew.

Galley-Main Galley and Crew Mess - Time Control Plan
Violation:
The main galley hot time control plan did not identify the bain marie, soup well, or potentially hazardous foods in containers on counters as being on time control. It simply stated foods out for service. In the cold plan the upright reach-in refrigerator #23 was mentioned in the plan, but that unit was not labeled time control. Staff labeled the refrigerator during the inspection. In the Crew Mess the cold basin and bain marie were not listed as being time control units in the time control plan.
Recommendation:
Revise the time control plans so within the plan there is so the bain marie, soup well, cold basin, and foods in containers on counters are listed as being under time control.
