Abstract: This report presents findings from an evaluation of proposed questions for the World Health Organization’s (WHO) Model Disability Survey (MDS). These questions focus on four areas pertaining to disability: Capacity, Functioning, Broad Environment, and Use of Assistive Devices. This study is a collaborative effort between the Center for Questionnaire Design and Evaluation Research (CQDER) at the National Center for Health Statistics and the Institute for Social Research (ISR) at the University of Michigan.
