The National Laboratory Training Network (NLTN) is approved by the California Department of Health Services as a California Clinical Laboratory Science Accrediting Agency (#0022).  This Antimicrobial Susceptibility Testing self-study program qualifies for continuing education for California clinical laboratory licensees.

To receive a California CLS certificate you must:
  1. Obtain the interactive educational CD-ROM. CDs are available free of charge from the Association of Public Health Laboratories. Send an Email request to ast@aphl.org or phone 202-822-5227.
     
  2. Register for the program on the CDC PHTN website, http://www.phppo.cdc.gov/phtnonline
      
  3. Complete one or more modules (1,2,3,or 4), then do the accompanying post test(s) and evaluation(s).
       
  4. When prompted for type of credit, select continuing education units (CEU).
      
  5. Print the CDC continuing education certificate.
      
  6. Send a copy of the certificate to:
