Ana K. Stankovic, MD, PhD
Dr. Ana Stankovic is board certified in Clinical Pathology and Blood Banking/ Transfusion Medicine with the American Board of Pathology and has a Ph.D. degree in Immunology. She is currently the Medical Officer in the Laboratory Practice Evaluation and Genomics Branch, Division of Laboratory Systems, Public Health Practice Program Office, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. She is a clinical pathologist at Quest Diagnostics Inc, Atlanta, Ga. She has extensive scientific consulting and professorial experience in laboratory medicine. She completed her senior Fulbright fellowship, residency in Clinical Pathology and fellowship training in Blood Banking and Transfusion Medicine at the University of Alabama-Birmingham (UAB). She received her MD, PhD, and MS from the University of Belgrade, Yugoslavia.
Dr. Stankovic was presented the Paul E. Strandjord Young Investigator
Award for 1996, 1997, and 1998. She has also served as Project and
Co-Project Officer(s) under grants/contracts and has authored publications
and presented many abstracts/ presentations. She speaks Serbo-Croatian,
English, French, and Italian.
