How to Install or Uninstall the OIICS Coding Resource Software
Back to Top Installation using the self-installer
  • If you chose Save and not Run on the download dialog box, locate on your disk the file OIICStreesetup.msi.
  • Double-click on the file.
  • Follow the screen commands

  • Select the installation folder if you do not wish to use the default folder.

  • The installation is proceeding. No installation problems were detected.
  • See Troubleshooting if the installation was interrupted.

  • The installation is complete. A shortcut to the OIICS Coding Resource was installed on your desktop.

  • Click Close to end the installation.

Extracting files from the Zip file archive

  • If you chose Save and not Run on the download dialog box, locate the file OIICStreesetup.zip on your disk.
  • Double-click on the file.
  • Extract all files to a convenient folder, e.g. OIICS Coding Resource
  • Double-click on the file OIICSCodingResource.exe to begin.

Note: If double-clicking on the zip file does not activate the Zip decompression program, you must open your Zip compression-decompression program first.

Creating a shortcut
  • In the folder where you stored the OIICS files: Right-click on OIICSCodingResource.exe
  • Select Create Shortcut
  • Right-click on the shortcut, select rename, and change title to “OIICS Coding Resource”
  • Copy the shortcut to your desktop

  • If you used the self-installer and the “insufficient privileges” warning appears, you must have administrative rights to your computer. Log in with administrative rights, see your IT department, or try changing the installation directory to something other than C:\Program Files\.

  • If the “.NET Framework not installed” warning appears, you must download the .NET Framework component from www.microsoft.com/downloads, install the component, and reboot your computer before retrying the installation.
  
  • If the “Installation Interrupted” dialog box appears for any reason, you must close the self-installer, resolve any system issues, and then restart the installer.

  • If your installation does not appear to work or becomes corrupted, try using the self-installer repair function.
  • The self-installer automatically detects if the OIICS Coding Resource has been installed.
  • Selecting the “Repair” option on the opening screen may correct your problem.

  • For other problems, see your local computer geek.
Back to Top Uninstalling
  • Run the self-installer again. It will detect if the OIICS Coding Resource is installed.
  • On the opening screen select the “Remove” option.

  • The removal process will begin the application deletion.
  • Be patient while the process finishes.

  • A dialog box will indicate when the removal is complete.

  • If the Zip file format was used, to uninstall, simply delete the Zip file, all extracted files, and the desktop shortcut.
