Delaware Data Quality Report

This summary depicts the current state of data quality for the jurisdiction’s IIS based on information from the 2022 Immunization Information Systems Annual Report (self-reported), the AIRA Measurement and Improvement Initiative, and other sources. Data from all sources is current as of March 8, 2024. AIRA’s IIS Measurement and Improvement (M&I) Initiative provides IIS with information and guidance to align with the IIS Functional Standards. AIRA conducts evaluations as a third-party objective reviewer as a service to the IIS community. Awardees should work toward achieving “Validated” or “Validated with Minor Differences” outcomes for all capabilities. When a city awardee uses the state’s IIS platform, the state’s values are displayed.

Each Data Quality Blueprint Indicator is followed by a series of numbers in brackets (e.g., {1.1.1}). The first number refers to an IIS Functional Standard. The second number refers to an Operational Guidance Statement and the last number is a reference number to the Indicator. Please see this weblink for more information on the Data Quality Blueprint.

Following the Background section, information in the report is organized according to seven data quality characteristics described below. Click on a data quality characteristic to go directly to the associated report section.

Available: IIS data can be readily used by authorized users to inform IIS and immunization program activities
Complete: The IIS contains all (historic and new) vaccination and demographic records for persons residing in the jurisdiction, and all vaccination and demographic records contain complete data fields
Timely: Patient records are established, and vaccination events are recorded in the IIS within specified timeframes
Valid: Vaccination and demographic records in the IIS conform with generally accepted standards (e.g., ACIP recommendations, US Postal Service standards)
Accurate: The IIS correctly reflects the demographic information of patients and data related to all aspects of their vaccination events
Consistent: The IIS receives, stores, and processes data in accordance with established standards
Unique: Each patient and their corresponding vaccinations are recorded only once in the IIS
