Scientists from the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR) will review their Public Health Response Plan at an open house followed by a community meeting on February 22 at the Midlothian Conference Center. Interested residents of the Midlothian area are invited to participate in the meetings. The sessions are the next step in the federal public health agency’s outreach to community residents in the investigation of area environmental health concerns.
At the community meeting, ATSDR scientists will discuss each section of the response plan in detail. During the open house preceding the meeting, residents will be able to meet individually with scientists about their environmental health concerns and other topics related to the ATSDR plan.
The meeting will be held on Monday February 22, 2010, from 6:30-8:00p.m. at the Midlothian Conference Center, 1 Community Circle Dr., Room Bluebonnet 1 and 2, Midlothian, TX. The open house will be at the same location from 3:00p.m. to 6:00p.m. The sessions are open to everyone, and community participation is encouraged.
