Current tobacco use: Estimated prevalence by current occupation, U.S. working adults aged 18 and over, 2010

† Estimates with a relative standard error of greater than 50% are suppressed.
– Estimated confidence intervals not calculated because estimated prevalence of tobacco use among workers in this occupation is zero.
a Estimates with a relative standard error of more than 30% but less than or equal to 50% are statistically unstable due to small sample size and should be used with caution as they do not meet the standards of reliability.

Note:

Numbers presented are annual estimates for 2010. Prevalence estimates are weighted and are not age-adjusted. Tobacco users are those who currently use smokeless tobacco or currently smoke cigars or are current cigarette smokers. Current cigarette smokers are those who smoked at least 100 cigarettes in their lifetime and currently smoke cigarettes every day or some days at the time of the survey interview. Current cigar users are those who ever smoked cigars and currently smoke cigars every day or some days at the time of the survey interview. Current smokeless tobacco users are those who ever used snuff or chewed tobacco and are currently using snuff or chewing tobacco every day or some days at the time of the survey. Working adults are those who were employed in the week prior to the survey. Estimated populations represent current U.S. workers aged 18 years and over by occupation.
