About NIOCCS:
  • NIOCCS is a free web-based tool used to translate industry and occupation text into standardized codes.
  • Coding is based on the U.S. Census I&O Classification system with options for coding to the Census 2000, 2002 and 2010 coding schemes.
  • Output files include the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) and U.S. Standard Occupation Classification (SOC) codes associated    with the Census scheme selected for coding.

NIOCCS has a new link and has undergone some major improvements! Visit the new site at https://csams.cdc.gov/nioccs/ and register for a Secure Access Management Service (SAMS) account to use the new version of NIOCCS. SAMS was developed by CDC to serve as a more secure web application portal for uploading and coding your data. This site will be taken down on Friday, March 5, 2021. We are preparing to take down this site, so please update your bookmarks with the new link. You will need to finish any coding projects you currently have in process on this site – due to significant improvements in NIOCCS, your information cannot be carried over to the new NIOCCS site. If you have questions or concerns, please contact us at NIOCCS@CDC.GOV.
