Intervention EffectivenessFor patients with occupational asthma: 1. There were no significant differences between the results in asthmatics at first and recent visit. 2. Symptoms of bronchial asthma persisted in 86.5% (32 persons). 3. Positive results of the present histamine challenge test and elevated eosinophiles in sputum were more often (P<0.05) in patients exposed to HMW than exposed to LMW. Comparison of the results for occupational asthma group and control group: More positive results for occupational asthma group than control group for histamine challenge, eosinophil cationic protein levels and skin prick tests (all p<0.05).
