Activity InterventionRemoval from exposure (12 months)
Participation Rate25 of 32 eligible subjects (Participation rate: 78%)
Intervention EffectivenessNo statistically significant differences for percent predicted FEV1 or PD20 were found between subjects removed from exposure (n=13) and subjects with continued exposure (n=12). Asthma severity improved in both groups, but more for workers who ceased exposure. Declines in pharmaceutical expenses (p<0.05), and socioeconomic status (p<0.01) were associated with removal from exposure in comparison to continued exposure.
