Improvement in local exhaust ventilation, engineering controls, medical surveillance Medical surveillance consisted of respiratory questionnaire, spirometry, and physical examination at preplacement and at 1, 3, 6 months afterward. Surveillance is biannual after 6 months until 2 years, when it becomes annual. |
4 of 4 eligible subjects (Participation rate: 100%) |
After reduction in exposure to mold release overspray following environmental hygiene improvement, subjects identified with OA (n=4) via TDI-medical surveillance resumed former work with no recurrence of respiratory symptoms. Limitation: no comparison group. |
