2018 National Notifiable Conditions (Historical)

The Council of State and Territorial Epidemiologists position statement #17-ID-04 approved the addition of Carbapenemase Producing Carbapenem-Resistant Enterobacteriaceae (CP-CRE) to the National Notifiable Diseases Surveillance System. CDC is in the process of seeking Office of Management and Budget Paperwork Reduction Act (OMB PRA) approval to officially add this condition to the NNDSS.

Beginning in January 2018, cases of salmonellosis should be classified into two different conditions, for submission to the NNDSS : 1) Salmonellosis (excluding paratyphoid fever and typhoid fever), and 2) Paratyphoid fever (caused by Salmonella serotypes Paratyphi A, Paratyphi B [tartrate negative] and Paratyphi C).
