Site: Potable Water-Safe Drinking Water
Violation: The vessel's itinerary December 1 through December 8, 2019 included the Amazon River. The vessel produced water during this time on December 1, 3, 4, 6, 7, and 8. The Amazon River is not a safe source for use in producing drinking water.
Recommendation: Ensure drinking water bunkered from shore supplies is from a potable source that meets World Health Organization standards for potable water.

Site: Recreational Water Facilities-Main Pool Drain Covers
Violation: The two metal drain covers installed in November 2019 did not include all of the fasteners. There were two missing on each cover. Staff stated that there was no way to secure the fasteners in place.
Recommendation: For RWFs with gravity drainage and multiple drains (2 or more drains greater than 3 feet apart), provide either a standard design (not compliant with ASME A112.19.8) drain cover and an alarm, or an ASME A112.19.8 compliant antientrapment/antientanglement drain cover.

Site: Buffet-Terrace Cafe Aft Outdoor Waiter Stations
Violation: The back and side surfaces of the port and starboard waiter station cabinets were made of a rough stone material that was not easy to clean. The counter top of the station cabinets was did not have a splash shield around the back and sides to define the front as the working side. During service, the stations were being accessed by waiters from more than the front side.
Recommendation: Ensure nonfood-contact surfaces of equipment that are exposed to splash, spillage, or other food soiling or that require frequent cleaning are constructed of a corrosion-resistant, nonabsorbent, and smooth material. Ensure nonfood-contact surfaces are free of unnecessary ledges, projections, and crevices, and designed and constructed to allow easy cleaning and to facilitate maintenance.

Site: Galley-Deck 4 Drinking Fountain Near Pastry
Violation: The two profile plates on the bulkhead penetrations below the drinking fountain were loose, exposing gaps to the bulkhead. This was corrected immediately.
Recommendation: Ensure decks, bulkheads, and deckheads in food preparation, warewashing, pantries, and storage areas are maintained in good repair.
