Site: Recreational Water Facilities-Deck 10 - Aft Whirlpool
Violation: The pH of the in-use whirlpool spa was greater than the required range. The crew member measured 8.09 and the inspector measured 7.92. In the machine room, the analyzer read pH 8.09 when the inspection team entered the room, and pH 7.60 when the comparison samples were taken. The crew member measured 7.58 and the inspector measured 7.55.
Recommendation: Maintain the pH level in all RWFs between 7.0 and 7.8. Immediately close facilities if these halogen and pH ranges are not maintained.

Violation: Condensate from the deckhead dripped onto the pizza dough boxes below.
Recommendation: Do not store packaged food in direct contact with ice or water if the food is subject to the entry of water because of the nature of its packaging, wrapping, or container, or its positioning in the ice or water.

Site: Recreational Water Facilities-Public Vomit and Diarrhea Incidents (PVI / PDI)
Violation: Between March and June 2025, six PVI and PDI Fecal and Vomit Response Logs did not correctly correspond with the associated chart record. For the Main Pool: (1) On 5 May, the chart record stated a PVI occurred at 2pm. The Response Log stated the incident time was 1:30pm. (2) On 24 April, there was no notation on the chart record of a PVI. Sea-to-sea mode started at 7pm. The Response Log stated a PVI at occurred 4:50pm. (3) On 10 April, there was no notation on the chart record of a PVI. Sea-to-sea mode started at 7pm. The Response Log stated a PVI occurred at 6:20pm. (4) On 13 March, there was no notation on the chart record of a PVI. The Response Log stated a PVI occurred at 6:10pm. The chart record stated an increase in chlorine concentration to 4.3 ppm from 6:10pm - 6:45pm. The Response Log stated chlorine concentration 2.5-2.9 ppm during that time. (5) On 1 June, the chart record stated the pool was closed at 9:45pm due to a PVI. The Response Log stated the time 8:57pm with the disinfection occurring 9:02pm - 9:30pm. For the Waterpark: -On 22 April, the chart record stated the facility was closed at 2pm due to a fecal incident. The Response Log stated this was a vomit incident at 3:54pm.
Recommendation: Ensure the supervisor or person in charge of housekeeping operations on the vessel demonstrates to the VSP?during inspections and on request ? knowledge of housekeeping operations, is able to demonstrate this knowledge by compliance with section 9 of the 2018 VSP Operations Manual of these guidelines or by responding correctly to the inspector?s questions as they relate to the specific operation, and properly trains employees to comply with section 9 of the 2018 VSP Operations Manual as it relates to their assigned duties.
