Description

This study provides hepatitis C virus (HCV) screening to members of the World Trade Center cohort followed at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai (WTC Health Program, WTCHP) born during 1945-1965, and linkage to care for those found infected. In addition to identifying and treating HCV-infected individuals within the WTCHP, the study aims to identify undetermined risk factors for HCV infection experienced by WTCHP members, and factors associated with improved linkage to HCV care. These findings would be relevant to the larger US population, especially to persons born during 1945-1965 who are at high risk of HCV infection.
