ATSDR seeks comments on health investigation report for New Bedford, MA

ATLANTA, GA - The Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR) has released its health investigation report, “Evaluation of Contaminants in the Wetlands near Keith Middle School and Soil at New Bedford High School,” for public comment. ATSDR will accept comments from the public until February 6, 2018.  

ATSDR evaluated the available environmental sampling data to determine if, in the past, the New Bedford residents were exposed to potentially harmful levels of polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBS) and lead.

The public comment process gives residents the opportunity to review the report and to give their input. ATSDR’s responses to those comments will be included in the appendices of the final report.
