Monday, November 3, 2003
A public meeting and availability session concerning the Neodesha Refinery site in Neodesha, Kan., will be held on Nov. 13 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. ATSDR representatives will be available to discuss the results of its public health consultation regarding the refinery site.

A new fact sheet from ATSDR updates the Neodesha, Kansas community about its investigation into lead and other contaminants at the Former Amoco Refinery site.ATSDR is looking into potential exposure routes, such as air, soil and groundwater and has met with area residents to hear their health concerns. The results of ATSDR's evaluation will be provided in a written public health consultation.

The Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR), a public health agency of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, will hold a public availability session on July 16, 2002. The session is to provide community members with an opportunity to discuss any health concerns that they believe may be related to the Former Amoco Neodesha Refinery site in Neodesha, Wilson County, Kansas.
