The Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR) conducted a follow up study to the 2001 report about air contamination for the Eastern Michaud Contamination site. The new report found that on days when there is increased particulate matter air pollution in Pocatello and Chubbuck, Idaho, there is also an increase in same-day hospitalizations and medical visits for lung disease. This finding and others will be presented at a public meeting on Sept. 21.

The public comment period for the public health assessment evaluating the possible public health impacts of lead and other metals from the Bunker Hill Mining and Metallurgical Site Operable Unit 3, also known as the Coeur d'Alene River Basin has been extended. The Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR) will accept comments through March 17.

A public health assessment evaluating the possible public health impacts of lead and other metals from the Bunker Hill Mining and Metallurgical Site Operable Unit 3, also known as the Coeur d'Alene River Basin, will be released by the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR) on Dec. 17, 2004. The assessment will be available for public comment and review through Feb. 15, 2005.
