DPP 53 was negative by immunoflourescence against BLU, Simbu, Palyam, bovine ephemeral fever, and epizootic hemorrhagic disease group antiserums.
A relationship with Tibrogagan virus was demonstrated by serum neutralization and cross-indirect immunoflourescence.
