Remarks
The virus was isolated from ticks collected off a paralyzed goat (lumbar paralysis). No virus could be isolated from brain and spinal cord specimens of sick goats. Nor was it possible to obtain any serological evidence of an association of the virus with the lumbar paralysis. HI and NT antibodiescould be demonstrated in survey sera from goats.
