Site: Potable Water-Hydrotherapy Whirlpool Technical Room
Violation: There was no backflow prevention device on the potable water line used for a deck tap. This was corrected.
Recommendation: Ensure that backflow prevention devices are installed on any potential cross-connections.

Violation: The water line after the reduced pressure assembly backflow prevention device was striped blue to indicate potable water. This was corrected.

Violation: The air gaps on the two mineralizer backwash lines were not listed on the cross connection control program.
Recommendation: Ensure that the cross connection control program includes a complete listing of the air gaps on board the vessel.

Site: DO NOT USE (whirlpool/spa)-Port Side
Violation: There was a fastener missing in one of the anti-entrapment drain covers in the port side whirlpool. The whirlpool was closed at the time of the inspection. The fastener was replaced.
Recommendation: Ensure that anti-entrapment devices are maintained in good repair.

Site: DO NOT USE (whirlpool/spa)-Starboard Side
Violation: There were two cracks in one of the anti-entrapment drain covers in the starboard side whirlpool. The whirlpool was closed at the time of the inspection. The cover was replaced.
Recommendation: Ensure that anti-entrapment devices are maintained in good repair.

Site: Housekeeping-Private Cabin Whirlpools
Violation: There were several occasions since December where it was greater than 7 days between cleaning and disinfecting of the cabin whirlpools.
Recommendation: Ensure that private whirlpool spas located in individual passenger cabins are cleaned and disinfected, including associated recirculation systems, between occupancies or weekly, whichever is more frequent.

Violation: The door gasket on the ice bin was torn in several locations.
Recommendation: Replace the gasket.

Violation: There was an open gap along the back of the floor of the compartment in the technical space below the cold well.

Site: Galley-Dishwash
Violation: The final rinse temperature gauge indicated greater than 220F on the left machine and greater than 240F on the right machine. There was no steam at the final rinse spray heads. These gauges were not accurate. The plate temperature was measured at 165F in both units.
Recommendation: Ensure that warewashing equipment is maintained in good repair and proper adjustment including maintaining water temperature measuring devices in good repair and ensuring their accuracy within the intended range of use.

Violation: Near the entrances of many of the walk-in refrigeration and freezer units, there were seams, gaps, and bent metal where the surfaces had been damaged by pallets.
