Violation: THE ANALYZER CHART RECORDER FOR THE LOWER LOOP NOTED 1.06 PPM WHILE MANUAL TESTS NOTED 1.4 PPM AND 1.41 PPM. DURING A SUBSEQUENT TEST THE ANALYZER NOTED 1.1 PPM AND THE MANUAL TEST WAS ALSO 1.1 PPM.
Recommendation: 5.5.1.2.3 The free residual halogen measured by the halogen analyzer shall be 0.2 mg/L (ppm) of the free residual halogen measured by the manual test.

Violation: THE POTABLE WATER TANK LOGS NOTED THAT THE TANKS WERE DISINFECTED USING A 100 PPM CHLORINE SOLUTION BUT THERE WAS NO INDICATION OF THE CONTACT TIME.
Recommendation: 5.3.4.1.4 Disinfection following potential contamination shall be accomplished by increasing free residual halogen to at least 50 mg/L (ppm) throughout the affected area and maintaining this concentration for 4 hours.

Violation: THE SMALL DIAMETER POTABLE WATER LINES WERE NOT STRIPED BLUE IN THE ENGINE ROOM, GARBAGE ROOM, AND SPA TECHNICAL ROOMS.
Recommendation: 5.3.2.1.1 Potable water piping shall be painted light blue or striped with 15 cm (6 inches) light blue bands or a light blue stripe at fittings on each side of partitions, decks, and bulkheads and at intervals not to exceed 5 m (15 feet) in all spaces, except where the decor would be marred by such markings.

Violation: A COMPREHENSIVE CROSS-CONNECTION CONTROL PROGRAM HAS NOT BEEN DEVELOPED FOR THIS VESSEL.
Recommendation: 5.7.1.1.3 The vessel shall provide a comprehensive cross- connection control program that provides safe connections to the potable water system through air gaps or appropriate backflow devices at the following locations, if present: (1) Potable water supply lines to swimming pools, whirlpool spas, hot tubs, bathtubs, showers, and similar facilities; (2) Photographic laboratory developing machines and utility sinks; (3) Beauty and barber shop spray-rinse hoses; (4) Potable water faucets where hoses are connected or can be connected by threaded or quick-connect outlets such as those serving tanks containing chlorine and other chemicals, and deck taps; (5) Garbage grinders and pulpers; (6) Mechanical warewashing machines; (7) Hospital and laundry equipment; (8) Air conditioning expansion tanks; (9) Boiler feed water tanks; (10) Fire systems; (11) Toilets; (12) Potable water, bilge, and sanitary pumps that require priming; (13) Freshwater or saltwater ballast systems; (14) Bilge or other waste water locations; (15) International shore connection; and (16) Any other connection between potable and non-potable water systems.

Violation: A REVIEW OF THE LOGS NOTED ON 5/21/04 AND 06/20/04 PH READINGS RECORDED EVERY HOUR BUT NO FREE CHLORINE RESIDUAL READINGS WERE RECORDED. THERE WAS NO INDICATION THAT THIS POOL WAS CLOSED.
Recommendation: 6.3.2.1.1 Whirlpool spas shall maintain a free residual chlorine of >3.0 mg/L (ppm) and <10 mg/L (ppm), or a free residual bromine of >4.0 mg/L (ppm) and <10 mg/L (ppm).

Violation: A LENGTH OF ROPE 1.5 TIMES THE DIAMETER OF THE POOLS WAS NOT ATTACHED TO THE FLOATATION DEVICES LOCATED AT EACH POOL. THE KID'S POOL HAS NOT BEEN IN USE FOR SEVERAL MONTHS.
Recommendation: 6.4.1.2.1 Easy access shepherd's hook and approved floatation device shall be provided at a prominent location near each public swimming pool.

Violation: THE LETTER FROM THE SEAFOOD SUPPLIER DID NOT SPECIFY THE NAME OF THE VESSEL, THE SEAFOOD SUPPLIED, AND THE DATES.

Recommendation: 10.2.1.1.5 Signs shall be posted in children's toilet room advising the providers to wash their hands and the children's hands after assisting children use the toilet.
