Violation: FOR THE CRUISES BEGINNING 5/9, 4/18, 4/11, AND 4/4, 4 HOUR PRIOR TO ARRIVAL REPORTS WERE NOT SENT TO UPDATE THE 24 HOUR PRIOR TO ARRIVAL REPORTS. FOR EACH CRUISE, PASSENGERS WERE SEEN BY THE MEDICAL STAFF AFTER THE 24 HOUR PRIOR TO ARRIVAL REPORT WAS SENT BUT BEFORE THE SHIP ARRIVED IN PORT.
Recommendation: 4.2.1.1.2 If the number of cases changes after submission of the initial report, an updated report shall be submitted no less than 4 hours before the vessel's arrival at the U.S. port.

Violation: A BACKFLOW PREVENTION DEVICE WAS NOT LOCATED ON THE CARBONATOR IN THE POOL BAR, THE COVA CAF, THE THEATRE BAR, AND THE CONSTELLATION BAR.
Recommendation: Ensure that the appropriate backflow prevention devices are installed on the carbonator units and that brass or copper fittings are not located between the backflow prevention devices and the carbonator units.

Violation: THE STANDARD SAFETY PRECAUTIONS AND RISKS SIGN WAS MISSING FROM THE SPA WHIRLPOOLS.
Recommendation: 6.4.1.1.3 A sign shall be installed near the whirlpool spas that lists standard safety precautions and risks, warning against use by particularly susceptible people, such as those who are immunocompromised.

Violation: THE SAND FOR THE WHIRLPOOL SAND FILTER WAS LAST REPLACED ON 10/19/03.
Recommendation: 6.3.1.1.6 The granular filter media shall be replaced at least every 6 months. The filter housing shall be cleaned and sanitized before the new filter media is placed in it.

Recommendation: 7.3.3.2.1.1 Food shall be protected from cross-contamination by: (2) Separating types of raw animal foods from each other such as beef, fish, lamb, pork, and poultry during storage, preparation, holding, and display by using separate equipment for each type, or arranging each type of food in equipment so that cross-contamination of one type with another is prevented, and preparing each type of food at different times or in separate areas.

Recommendation: 7.7.4.1.1 Decks, bulkheads, and deckheads in food preparation, warewashing, pantries, and storage areas shall be constructed and maintained for easy cleaning.

Recommendation: 7.7.5.2.1 Light bulbs shall be shielded, coated, or otherwise shatter-resistant in areas where there is exposed food; clean equipment, utensils, and linens; or unwrapped single-service, and single-use articles.

Violation: TWO LIGHTS WERE NOT WORKING IN THE DECKHEAD ABOVE THE SERVICE AREA.
Recommendation: 7.7.5.1.1 The light intensity shall be at least 220 Lux (20 foot candles) on food preparation surfaces, and at a distance of 75 centimeters (30 inches) above the deck in food preparation areas, handwashing facilities, warewashing areas, equipment, and utensil storage, pantries, toilet rooms, and consumer self-service areas.

Violation: THE SIGN ADVISING "STAFF TO WASH THEIR HANDS AND THE CHILDREN'S HANDS" WAS MISSING IN THE CHILDREN'S BATHROOM.
Recommendation: 10.2.1.1.5 Signs shall be posted in children's toilet room advising the providers to wash their hands and the children's hands after assisting children use the toilet.
