Site: Preparation Room-
Violation: The backflow preventer on the automatic hood washing system was leaking heavily from the atmospheric vent, indicating a possible failure of the valve seats. Repairs were instituted immediately.
Recommendation: Maintain backflow prevention devices in good repair.

Site: Recreational Water Facilities-Whirlpool #4
Violation: The halogen levels registered greater than 10 ppm free chlorine residual on three tests. The pH level measured 7.94. Six bathers were in the whirlpool at the time. The whirlpool was immediately closed.
Recommendation: Maintain a free residual halogen in recirculated RWFs in the whirlpool spas and spa pools, between 3.0 and 10.0 mg/L (ppm) free chlorine or between 4.0 and 10.0 mg/L (ppm) bromine. Maintain the pH level in all RWFs between 7.0 and 7.8. Immediately close facilities if these halogen and pH ranges are not maintained.

Violation: A previously cleaned plate in the clean area, had food debris on the inside surface.
Recommendation: Ensure food contact surfaces of equipment and utensils are clean to sight and touch.

Site: Galley-Aft Hot Galley
Violation: The upper surfaces of grease pan compartments were soiled with old grease residue in both the flat grill and grooved grill. The grease pan and the tops of the grills were both clean.
Recommendation: Ensure nonfood-contact surfaces of equipment are kept free of an accumulation of grease, dirt, and food residue.

Site: Bar-O'Sheehan's Bar
Violation: The light level at the back bar measured 100 lux and 2 bulbs were burned out.
Recommendation: In bars, provide 220 lux (20 foot candles) light intensity during cleaning operations.
