Item No.: 08
Site: Potable Water-Cross-connection Control Log
Violation: The list of backflow prevention devices, revised on November 2018, was not accurate. In the garbage handling area, the potable water lines directed to the food waste digester had two Watts N9 backflow prevention devices, but the log indicated that two Watts 288A were installed instead. The ship staff corrected a deficiency found during the previous inspection of March 2018 by installing appropriate backflow prevention devices and did not update the device list. Staff corrected the list during the current inspection.
