Site: Potable Water-Pipe Disinfection Records
Violation: In 2025, the disinfection start times were not listed in eight different instances. For question #4 on the disinfection form, technicians had only listed 'yes' and added the disinfection completion time.
Recommendation: Maintain documentation of all inspections, maintenance, cleaning, and disinfection for 12 months and ensure it is available for review during inspections. Ensure records include a method of disinfection, concentration and contact time of the disinfectant, and a halogen value of less than or equal to 5 ppm before the tank is put back into service.

Violation: A dark substance was in the food splash zone of the bulkhead-mounted self-dispensing unit.
Recommendation: Ensure food contact surfaces of equipment and utensils are clean to sight and touch.

Violation: The three water dispenser nozzles on the counter-mounted dispensing unit were soiled with residue that could be removed with an alcohol swab.

Violation: Two uncovered glass containers were stored on the top shelf in this unfinished locker. The crew stated the containers were used to carry chocolates to the cabins. The deckhead had dusty exposed pipes.
Recommendation: Ensure nonfood-contact surfaces of equipment are kept free of an accumulation of dust, dirt, food residue, and other debris.

Violation: Grease residue was on the previously cleaned exhaust hood overhang above the flat top grill.

Site: Housekeeping-Deck 2 - Forward Locker (FSD 02-6-15)
Violation: Two uncovered glass containers were stored on the top shelf in this unfinished locker. The crew stated the containers were used to carry chocolates to the cabins. The deckhead had dusty exposed pipes.
Recommendation: Store cleaned equipment and utensils, laundered linens, and single-service and single-use articles: (1) in a clean, dry location; (2) in a location where they are not exposed to splash, dust, or other contamination.

Site: Housekeeping-Deck 2 - Forward Pantry
Violation: The food waste can's cover was only covering half of the can that was full of food waste. At the time of the inspection, the cabin stewards were cleaning the cabins and dropping off food waste and soiled items in the pantry; however, stewards were not actively using the area.
Recommendation: Cover receptacles and waste-handling containers when not in continuous use and after they are filled.

Site: Buffet-Deck 9 - Cabanas - Port Side Beverage Station
Violation: A small fly was inside the technical compartment below the juice dispenser.
Recommendation: Effectively control the presence of insects, rodents, and other pests to minimize their presence in the food storage, preparation, and service areas and warewashing and utensil storage areas aboard a vessel.
*Inspections scores of 85 or lower are NOT satisfactory
