Site: Potable Water-Engine Room FZ 2
Violation: The air gap below the relief vent on the backflow prevention device for the pool drain to grey water tank was less than twice the diameter of the supply line.
Recommendation: Ensure air gaps are at least twice the diameter of the delivery fixture opening and a minimum of 25 millimeters (1 inch).

Site: Recreational Water Facilities-Donald's Pool and Goofy's Pool
Violation: The shepherd's hooks had yellow poles and were located along the white stair railing, making them hard to locate.
Recommendation: Provide a rescue or shepherd?s hook and an approved flotation device at a prominent location (visible from the full perimeter of the pool) at each RWF that has a depth of 1 meter (3 feet) or greater. Mount these devices in a manner that allows for easy access during an emergency. Ensure the pole of the rescue or shepherd?s hook is long enough to reach the center of the deepest portion of the pool from the side plus 2 feet.

Site: Pantry-Outside Engineer Office
Violation: Two platters of sandwiches were on time control with a start time of 0559 and a discard of 0959. At 1043 the sandwiches had not been discarded.
Recommendation: If time only?rather than time in conjunction with temperature?is used as the public health control for a working supply of potentially hazardous food before cooking, or for ready-to-eat potentially hazardous food that is displayed or held for service for immediate consumption, ensure the food Is marked, or otherwise identified, to indicate the time 4 hours past the point in time when the food is removed from temperature control (if the time between service set-up and closing is greater than 4 hours). Ensure that it is discarded within 4 hours of placement on time control.

Violation: The coffee machine was missing one fastener in the food contact area that was difficult to clean.
Recommendation: Ensure food-contact surfaces are: (1) Smooth; (2) Free of breaks and open seams greater than 0.8 mm (1/32 inch); and (3) Free of crevices.

Site: Buffet-Deck 11 Port Side 24-hr Beverage Station
Violation: The coffee machine was missing two fasteners in the food contact area. Both of the recessed areas were difficult to clean.
Recommendation: Ensure food-contact surfaces are: (1) Smooth; (2) Free of breaks and open seams greater than 0.8 mm (1/32 inch); and (3) Free of crevices.

Site: Buffet-Deck 11 Daisy's Pizza Pies
Violation: The pizza oven had three baking compartments that each had six slotted fasteners on food-contact surfaces. A purchase order for non-slotted fasteners was immediately created and submitted.
Recommendation: Use only low profile, nonslotted, noncorroding, and easy-to-clean fasteners on food-contact surfaces and in splash zones. Prohibit the use of exposed slotted screws, Phillips head screws, or pop rivets in these areas.

Site: Galley-Deck 3 1923 Starboard Pastry
Violation: The countertop mixer had two slotted fasteners above the mixing bowl in the food contact splash zone.
Recommendation: Use only low profile, nonslotted, noncorroding, and easy-to-clean fasteners on food-contact surfaces and in splash zones. Prohibit the use of exposed slotted screws, Phillips head screws, or pop rivets in these areas.

Site: Bar-Deck 12 Wheezy's Freezies
Violation: The beer nozzle had a single small hair on it. The area had been previously cleaned and sanitized, but was not in operation. Remediation began immediately.
Recommendation: Ensure food contact surfaces of equipment and utensils are clean to sight and touch.

Site: Buffet-Deck 11 Marceline Market Stbd Dessert Station
Violation: The crew handwash station was out of service because the automatic sensor was not working. Staff provided the work order dated 17 November 2022. An alternative handwashing station was available in an adjacent space accessible through an automatic door that did not require hand contact to operate.
Recommendation: Keep handwashing facilities clean and in good repair.

Site: Galley-Deck 3
Violation: A waste receptacle containing food scraps was uncovered. The galley was in operation, but the waste receptacle was not in continuous use.
Recommendation: Cover receptacles and waste-handling containers when not in continuous use and after they are filled.

Violation: The bottom shelf's third tier alcohol bottle display had more than a day's accumulation of dust.
Recommendation: Ensure decks, bulkheads, deckheads, and attached equipment in food preparation, warewashing, pantries, and storage areas are cleaned as often as necessary.

Violation: The middle technical compartment under the service line bain marie had water continuously dripping from a drain pipe connector onto the deck.
Recommendation: Ensure decks, bulkheads, deckheads, and attached equipment in food preparation, warewashing, pantries, and storage areas are cleaned as often as necessary.
