Site: Buffet-Deck 9 - Windjammer Main Island
Violation: The sealant around the hot plates was missing or in disrepair.
Recommendation: Ensure nonfood-contact surfaces are free of unnecessary ledges, projections, and crevices, and are designed and constructed to allow easy cleaning and to facilitate maintenance.

Violation: Ice was discarded in the basin of the handwashing sink. This was corrected immediately.

Violation: The exhaust vent above the clean side of the hood-type glasswash was not flush against the deckhead, creating a difficult-to-clean gap. The crew began corrective action during the inspection.
