Site: Recreational Water Facilities-KIDS POOL DECK 15
Violation: A CHLORINE RESIDUAL OF 0.12 WAS NOTED IN THE KIDS POOL NEXT TO THE CHILD ACTIVITY AREA. THERE WAS NO INDICATION AT THE POOL THAT IT WAS UNDER MAINTENANCE. THE POOL DID NOT HAVE A NET OVER IT OR A SIGN STATING THAT IT WAS NOT OPEN. THE POOL RECORDS INDICATED THE POOL WAS UNDER MAINTENANCE. PASSENGERS WERE NOT ABOARD THE VESSEL AT THE TIME OF THE INSPECTION.
Recommendation: Ensure a sign is posted or a net is placed over the pool during maintenance. Ensure that a free residual halogen of >1.0 and <5.0 mg/L (ppm) is maintained in recirculated swimming pools.

Site: Recreational Water Facilities-
Violation: ANTI-ENTRAPMENT DRAIN COVERS WERE NOT PRESENT IN THE TERRACE POOL, OASIS POOL, OR THE CALIPSO POOL. A SUPPLY OF TWENTY NEW ANTI-ENTRAPMENT DRAIN COVERS WAS PRESENT IN THE ENGINE CONTROL ROOM.
Recommendation: Ensure that anti-entrapment drain covers or other drains that prevent entrapment hazards (dual drains/channel drains) are provided on swimming pools and whirlpool spas.

Site: Recreational Water Facilities-WHIRLPOOL SPAS
Violation: THE WHIRLPOOL SPA LOG DID NOT DOCUMENT THE CONCENTRATION IN PPM OR THE LENGTH OF TIME IT WAS SHOCK HALOGENATED. THE LOG DOES STATE THE SHOCK HALOGENATION OCCURRED, HOWEVER, THERE IS NO WAY TO VERIFY WHAT CONCENTRATION WAS REACHED. THE HALOGEN ANALYZER PROBE GOES INTO ISOLATION WHEN IT IS IN "SUPER BROMINE SHOCK MODE" AND MANUAL TESTS ARE NOT PERFORMED TO VERIFY THE 10 PPM CONCENTRATION.
Recommendation: Ensure that the free residual halogen is increased to at least 10.0 mg/L (ppm) in whirlpool spas and circulated for at least 1 hour at the end of each day.

Site: Galley-HORIZON COURT DISHWASH AREA MIDSHIP
Violation: THE DISHWASHER'S SHIRT WAS HEAVILY SOILED WITH FOOD RESIDUE. THE EMPLOYEE WAS NOT WEARING A PLASTIC APRON AT THE TIME.
Recommendation: Ensure that food employees wear clean outer clothing to prevent contamination of food, equipment, utensils, linens, and single-service and single-use articles.

Violation: A STICKY SUBSTANCE WAS NOTED ON THE PAPER TOWEL DISPENSER ABOVE THE HANDWASH STATION, MAKING CLEANING DIFFICULT. IT APPEARED THAT A LABEL WAS TAKEN OFF OF THE DISPENSER.
Recommendation: Ensure that nonfood-contact surfaces of equipment that are exposed to splash, spillage, or other food soiling or that require frequent cleaning are constructed of a corrosion-resistant, nonabsorbent, and smooth material.

Violation: A GASKET WAS SEPARATED FROM THE DOOR ON THE BUFFET LINE UNDER COUNTER REACH-IN REFRIGERATOR 150624B.
Recommendation: Ensure that nonfood-contact equipment components such as doors, seals, hinges, fasteners, and kick plates are kept intact, tight, and adjusted in accordance with manufacturer's specifications.

Violation: A SMALL HOLE WAS NOTED ON THE INSIDE OF THE VENTILATION HOOD ABOVE THE FLAT GRILL, MAKING CLEANING DIFFICULT.

Violation: THE EDGES OF SEVERAL TRAYS ON THE DRYING RACK WERE DAMAGED, ESPECIALLY AT THE CORNERS, MAKING CLEANING DIFFICULT.

Violation: THERE WAS A GAP BETWEEN THE BULKHEAD AND THE PROFILE STRIP ON THE LOWER EDGE OF THE LEFT BULKHEAD. GAPS AND SEVERELY BENT BULKHEAD AND PROFILE STRIPS WERE ALSO NOTED AT THE BASE OF THE SUPPORT PILLAR IN THE CENTER OF THE UNIT. THESE GAPS AND BENT METAL WERE DIFFICULT TO CLEAN.
Recommendation: Ensure that decks, bulkheads, and deckheads in food preparation, warewashing, pantries, and storage areas, are maintained in good repair.

Site: Room Service-BELL BOX
Violation: THERE WAS A DIFFICULT TO CLEAN FOAM MATERIAL ON THE BULKHEAD BY THE WASTE BIN FOR THE HANDWASH STATION BY THE HI-FOG SYSTEM CABINET.
Recommendation: Ensure that decks, bulkheads, and deckheads in food preparation, warewashing, pantries, and storage areas are constructed and maintained for easy cleaning. Remove the foam material and adhesive from the bulkhead.

Site: Galley-DECK 5 HOT GALLEY
Violation: THERE WAS CONDENSATION DRIPPING FROM THE VENT HOOD ONTO THE SALAMANDER. THE SALAMANDER AND ADJACENT GALLEY WERE NOT IN USE. THIS WAS REPAIRED DURING THE INSPECTION.
Recommendation: Ensure that exhaust ventilation hood systems in food preparation and warewashing areas including components such as hoods, fans, guards, and ducting are designed to prevent grease or condensation from draining or dripping onto food, equipment, utensils, linens, and single-service and single-use articles.
