The information about ATSDR's activities will be announced at the meeting.

An air model is a mathematical tool using computer mapping to show how contaminants move in the air. Because extensive sampling data were not available for Washington County, an air model was the best tool for estimating exposures to air pollution.

ATSDR staff will be joined at the meeting by researchers from the Ohio Department of Health and the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency.

For more information, community members can contact Environmental Health Scientist Jennifer Freed or Health Communications Specialist Dawn O'Connor, toll free, at 1-888-422-8737. Regional Representative Michelle Colledge in Chicago also may be contacted at 312-886-1462. Callers should refer to the Washington County Air Quality Site in Marietta, Ohio.
