The Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR), a public health agency of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, will hold a community meeting, followed by a public availability session, to discuss air quality issues related to facilities operating at the former Union Carbide complex located on Route 7 in Washington County.

The community meeting and public availability session will take place on Dec. 9 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. in the Community Room at Washington State Community College, located at 710 Colegate Drive in Marietta. The community meeting will be from 7:00 - 7:30 p.m. and gives residents an opportunity to hear about ATSDR and the agency's activities, mission, and goals. The public availability session will be from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. where ATSDR representatives are available to meet one-on-one with community members who would like to share their health and/or environmental concerns possibly related to the facilities operating at the former Union Carbide complex on Route 7.
