ATSDR Announces Public Meeting For Residents Of Dakota City/South Sioux City, Nebraska

The Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry-or A-T-S-D-R--will be in town on Wednesday, July 26th, to discuss the agency's health investigation.

Two public availability sessions will be held at the Marina Inn in South Sioux City, on Wednesday, July 26th -- with one session from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m., followed by an evening session from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m.. Residents are encouraged to attend one of the sessions to learn more about A-T-S-D-R's 1999 air monitoring results for Dakota City and South Sioux City.

ATSDR is doing the sessions in response to a request from community members who wanted to learn more about the 1999 hydrogen sulfide monitoring results for Dakota City/South Sioux City. At the meetings, ATSDR staffers will have graphs showing air data and will be available to explain the information and to answer questions.

Public availability sessions are not large scale meetings. Residents can drop in at any time during either of the sessions to talk with ATSDR staff.
