ATSDR/EPA To Conduct Community Meeting In Corina, Maine

The Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry , a public health agency of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, will hold a community meeting on November 16th in Corinna, Maine.

The purpose of the meeting will be to provide residents with information about the agency's activities related to the Eastland Woolen Mill Superfund Site, and to provide an opportunity for residents to discuss their concerns about the site's impact on their health. At this meeting, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency will also update residents on the clean-up activities at the site.

The community meeting will begin at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 16th, at the American Legion Hall on Maple Street in Corinna.

The meeting will be preceded by a public availability session from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m at the American Legion Hall. The public availability session offers residents a chance to talk one-on-one with A-T-S-D-R staff about their health concerns related to the Eastland Woolen Mill Superfund Site.
