The Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR) released its exposure investigation for the Carpenter Lane Site. The report was conducted to address community health concerns about potential harmful effects from exposure to pesticides being applied at nearby nurseries.

Wednesday, May 7, 2003
ATSDR and the Oregon Department of Human Services are releasing for public review and comment a public health assessment for the former Taylor Lumber and Treating facility site in Sheridan, Ore. Both agencies conclude the site poses no apparent public health hazard. The public comment period extends through July 17, 2003.

The public comment version of ATSDR's public health consultation for the View-Master Factory Supply Well site in Beaverton, Ore., is now available. ATSDR concludes that past exposure to TCE through drinking water from the site's well might have resulted in adverse health effects among former View-Master workers. Written comments from the public will be accepted through Feb. 28, 2003.

The Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR) and the Oregon Department of Human Services today announced the release of the initial draft of the public health assessment for the Portland Harbor Superfund site in Portland, Oregon. This document is a preliminary assessment for the site and will be followed by a more thorough assessment when additional data is available
