According to the medical staff, the medical department opens at 8:00 A.M. It was unclear to the staff why the waiter did not report to the medical department at 8:00 A.M., or if the waiter worked a shift or partial shift before reporting to medical.

Recommendation:
Ensure that employees having gastrointestinal (GI) symptoms do not go to work and do report to medical as soon as having their first GI symptom.
