Site: Buffet-WINDJAMMER - DINING ROOM GENERAL
Violation: VERIFY THAT THE CLEANER/DISINFECTANT PRODUCT BEING USED TO WIPE DOWN DINING ROOM TABLES BETWEEN USES CAN BE USED FOR SUCH CLEANING WHEN PERSONS WILL TOUCH THOSE SURFACES WITHIN THE TEN MINUTE CONTACT TIME SPECIFIED IN THE MATERIAL SAFETY DATA SHEET. A CONCERN EXISTS THAT THE DILUTED PRODUCT COULD AFFECT SKIN, EYES, OR BE AN INGESTION HAZARD IF STILL WET WHEN CONTACTED AT THE TABLE.

Site: Potable Water-DECK 0 CREW LAUNDRY
Violation: THE BACKFLOW PREVENTERS INSTALLED ON ALL THE HOT AND COLD POTABLE WATER LINES FEEDING THE CLOTHES WASHING MACHINES WERE NON-CONTINUOUS PRESSURE TYPE PREVENTERS.
Recommendation: Install continuous pressure type backflow prevention devices on the clothes washing machines.

Site: Potable Water-ENGINE ROOM EVAPORATORS
Violation: THE SMALL (WATTS N9) BACKFLOW PREVENTERS INSTALLED ON THE CHEMICAL FEED LINE AND HOSE CONNECTIONS TO THE EVAPORATORS WERE NOT ON THE SHIP'S LIST OF BACKFLOW PREVENTERS REQUIRING INSPECTION.
Recommendation: Ensure that all backflow prevention devices are listed on the "comprehensive cross-connection control plan".

Site: Recreational Water Facilities-MAIN POOL
Violation: A CHILD WEARING A DIAPER WAS OBSERVED IN THE POOL WITH A PARENT. A SHIP STAFF MEMBER INFORMED THE PARENT DURING THE INSPECTION AND THE CHILD WAS REMOVED.
Recommendation: Prevent children in diapers from using the swimming pools and whirlpool spas.

Site: Galley-DECK 4 PANTRY
Violation: THERE WAS A CONTAINER OF TARTER SAUCE IN THE PASS THROUGH REFRIGERATOR WITH AN INTERNAL PRODUCT TEMPERATURE OF 45F. IT WAS STATED THAT IT HAD BEEN IN THE REFRIGERATOR SINCE THE DAY BEFORE. IT COULD NOT BE DETERMINED WHEN THE TEMPERATURE RAISED ABOVE 41F. THE CHEF CHOOSE TO DISPOSE OF THE TARTER SAUCE.
Recommendation: Maintain potentially hazardous foods either above 140f or below 40f.

Site: Buffet-WINDJAMMER - BUFFET AREA
Violation: THE SALAD BUFFET LETTUCE TONGS HAD ONE SET WITH THE HANDLES IN CONTACT WITH FOOD. THE TONGS WERE LESS THAN HALF THE LENGTH OF THE CONTAINER USED. SOME OF THE SALAD TOPPING TONGS WERE SET WITH THE HANDLES IN CONTACT WITH THE INSIDE OF THE CONTAINERS.
Recommendation: Provide appropriate size serving utensils to ensure that the hand contact surfaces do not come in contact with the ready-to-eat foods.

Violation: THE BOWL OF HORSERADISH WAS SET OUTSIDE OF THE SHIELD IN THE CARVING STATION BUFFET AREA.
Recommendation: Ensure that all foods provided for customer self-service are properly shielded by the sneeze guards.

Violation: THREE OF FOUR DELI PLATTERS ON THE BUFFET HAD TONGS WITH THE HANDLE IN CONTACT WITH FOOD.
Recommendation: Provide appropriate size serving utensils to ensure that the hand contact surfaces do not come in contact with the ready-to-eat foods.

Violation: THE TECHNICAL CABINET BELOW THE HOT FOOD LINE ON THE PORT AND STARBOARD SIDE BUFFET WAS DIFFICULT TO CLEAN DUE TO BUNDLED CABLES, LARGE GAPS AND VOIDS AND PIPING. THE INTERIOR WAS NOT FINISHED WITH STAINLESS STEEL PANELS.
Recommendation: Finish the technical cabinets with hard durable and easy to clean surfaces.

Violation: THE CABINET BELOW THE COUNTER ON BOTH SIDES HAD UNFINISHED WOOD, BUNDLED POWER CABLES, GAPS, AND CREVICES WHICH MADE CLEANING DIFFICULT.
Recommendation: Finish the technical cabinets with hard durable and easy to clean surfaces.

Violation: ONE OF THE PLUGS WAS MISSING ON THE ICE MACHINE DOOR.
Recommendation: Replace the missing plug on the ice machine door.

Site: Galley-DECK 4 DISHWASH
Violation: THE CONVEYOR SPEED OF THE IN-USE FLIGHT DISHWASHING MACHINE WAS FASTER THAN THE DATA PLATE MAXIMUM. THE DISHWASHER WAS APPROXIMATELY 24 FEET LONG AND THE CONVEYOR SPEED STATED ON THE DATA PLATE WAS 7 FEET / MINUTE, IT TOOK ONLY 1 MINUTE 45 SECONDS FOR A PLATE TO PASS THROUGH THE DISHWASHING MACHINE. THE DISHWASHER HAD TWO SPEED SETTINGS AND AT THE TIME OF THE INSPECTION THE MACHINE WAS SET AT THE FASTEST SETTING.
Recommendation: Operate the dishwashing machine according to the manufacturer recommendations.

Violation: A WET WIPING CLOTH WAS FOLDED AND DRAPED OVER THE EDGE OF THE FULL SANITIZING BUCKET WITHOUT CONTACTING THE WATER.
Recommendation: Store wiping clothes in a sanitizing solution when they are not in active use.

Site: Buffet-WINDJAMMER PORT AND STARBOARD BEVERAGE STATION
Violation: THE CABLES AND OTHER SURFACES INSIDE THE TECHNICAL CABINET BELOW THE BEVERAGE COUNTERS WERE SOILED WITH ACCUMULATED DIRT RESIDUE. THE DOOR TOP DIRECTLY BENEATH THE JUICE DISPENSER WAS SOILED WITH DIRT AND MOLD.
Recommendation: Clean the non-food contact surfaces as often as necessary to keep them free of accumulations of soil residue and mold.

Site: Galley-DECK 4 HOT GALLEY
Violation: THERE WERE COLANDERS SETTING ON THE DECK UNDER TWO OF THE IN-USE TILTING PANS. IT WAS STATED THAT THE COLANDERS WERE USED TO STRAIN SOLIDS SO IT WOULD NOT CLOG THE DECK DRAINS.
Recommendation: Provide deck stands to set the colanders on when emptying the steam kettles and tilting pans.

Violation: A WAITER WAS OBSERVED RINSING A WIPING CLOTH OUT IN THE HANDWASHING SINK. THERE WAS A UTILITY SINK AT THE COUNTER ONE METER AWAY FROM THE HANDWASH SINK.
Recommendation: Use handwashing sinks for handwashing only.

Violation: THE DECK AND WOOD DECK TRIM IN THE CABINET BELOW THE BEVERAGE STATIONS WERE HEAVILY SOILED WITH DIRT DEBRIS.
Recommendation: Clean the decks as often as necessary to keep them free of soil and food debris.

Violation: THE DECK IN THE CREW BAR WAS IN VERY BAD CONDITION. NOT ONLY WERE THE TILES DAMAGED THE CEMENT UNDER FLOOR WAS DETERIORATED.
Recommendation: Repair the deck in the crew bar.

Site: Children Area-CLUB OCEAN
Violation: THE PREVIOUSLY CLEANED LARGE PLASTIC BUILDING BLOCKS WERE FOUND WET FROM DISINFECTANT IN A PLASTIC STORAGE BOX IN THE PLAY ROOM DURING THE LUNCH BREAK. THE DETERGENT DISINFECTANT USED HAS SIGNIFICANT SKIN, EYE, AND INGESTION WARNINGS ON THE MATERIAL SAFETY DATA SHEET.
Recommendation: Staff shall ensure that these toys are fully air-dried before placing them in storage for ready use.
