Site: Potable Water-Engine Room
Violation: The reverse osmosis and evaporator line was striped blue/green/blue before the halogen injection point.
Recommendation: Stripe or paint potable water lines either in accordance with ISO 14726 (blue/green/blue) or blue only. Stripe or paint distillate and permeate lines directed to the potable water system in accordance with ISO 14726 (blue/gray/blue).

Site: Galley-Ice Machine
Violation: The backflow prevention device for the crushed ice machine had a continuous leak and was pooling on the deck.
Recommendation: Maintain backflow prevention devices in good repair. Inspect backflow prevention devices periodically and replace any failed units.

Site: Recreational Water Facilities-Deck 7 Main Pool
Violation: The shepherd's hook was not prominently displayed to be visible from the full perimeter of the pool and easily accessible.
Recommendation: Provide a rescue or shepherd?s hook and an approved flotation device at a prominent location (visible from the full perimeter of the pool) at each RWF that has a depth of 1 meter (3 feet) or greater. Mount these devices in a manner that allows for easy access during an emergency

Site: Provisions-Frozen Vegetable Freezer
Violation: Water dripped from the deckhead onto the deck, bulkhead, shelving, and outer packaging surfaces of food products. Additionally, ice buildup was present on these surfaces. At least15 boxes stored on the top shelf were wet (visibly and to touch). The boxes containing food products had been in the freezer for over 24-hours. Crew removed these wet boxes and placed the food products in plastic containers.
Recommendation: Protect food from contamination by storing the food: (1) Covered or otherwise protected; (2) In a clean, dry location; (3) Where it is not exposed to splash, dust, or other contamination; (4) At least 150 millimeters (6 inches) above the deck; (5) At least 127 millimeters (5 inches) for food in packages and working containers on pallets, skids, and racks; and (6) At least 150 millimeters (6 inches) above the deck on shelving racks.

Violation: On the meat slicer, there was excess silicone on the bottom of the meat holder (non-food contact surface), which made the area difficult to clean.
Recommendation: Ensure nonfood-contact surfaces of equipment that are exposed to splash, spillage, or other food soiling or that require frequent cleaning are constructed of a corrosion-resistant, nonabsorbent, and smooth material.

Recommendation: After use, ensure mops are placed in a position that allows them to air-dry without soiling walls, equipment, or supplies.
