Site: Other-Incinerator Room Cold Storage
Violation: The deckhead had two missing vent covers leaving open spaces. Remediation began immediately.
Recommendation: Deckheads in incinerator rooms should be maintained in good repair.

Site: Preparation Room-Potable Water Bunkering Hoses
Violation: The stencil wording on two potable water hoses used for bunkering was fading. The hoses were removed for new stenciling.
Recommendation: Label potable water hoses with the words ?POTABLE WATER ONLY? in letters at least 13 millimeters (0.5 inch) high at each connecting end. Construct all hoses, fittings, and water filters used in the bunkering of potable water of safe, easily cleanable materials approved for potable water use and maintain them in good repair.

Site: Potable Water-Evaporator #1
Violation: Evaporator #1 distillate line did not have sufficient potable water striping (blue/green/blue) after the halogen injection point. Remediation began immediately.
Recommendation: Stripe or paint potable water lines either in accordance with ISO 14726 (blue/green/blue) or blue only. Stripe or paint distillate and permeate lines directed to the potable water system in accordance with ISO 14726 (blue/gray/blue). Ensure no other lines have the above color designations. Stripe or paint these lines at 5 meters (15 feet) intervals and on each side of partitions, decks, and bulkheads, except where decor would be marred by such markings, including potable water supply lines in technical lockers.

Site: Room Service-Deck 5 Beverage Station
Violation: In the technical compartment of the undercounter beverage station, water was spewing from the backflow prevention device and collecting on the bottom of the compartment. A technician was called immediately.
Recommendation: Maintain backflow prevention devices in good repair.

Site: Recreational Water Facilities-Main Forward Pool
Violation: The pool was designed with two skimming drains placed at the two most forward ends (port and starboard sides). The pool did not have aft end drains on either side nor in the stair entrance area. During the inspection, the pool registered a 0.2-degree portside list which allowed the starboard side drain to fill with water; however, the portside drain and the entire aft section did not skim.
Recommendation: For RWF with skim gutters, the fill level of the RWF must be to the skim gutter level.

Site: Galley-Walk-in Freezer
Violation: An excessive amount of ice buildup was present on the bottom, top, and sides of the metal trays. The bottom metal trays contained food and the top metal trays had been placed on top of the food.
Recommendation: Do not store packaged food in direct contact with ice or water if the food is subject to the entry of water because of the nature of its packaging, wrapping, or container, or its positioning in the ice or water. Protect food from contamination that may result from a physical, chemical, biological origin.

Site: Galley-Deck 5 Potwash Area
Violation: The chemical sanitizing concentration for the final sanitizing rinse in the three compartment sink measured 300ppm with a chlorine test strip.
Recommendation: Ensure sanitizing solutions are used with the following concentration: A chlorine solution with a concentration between 50 mg/L (ppm) and 200 mg/L (ppm)

Violation: The ice machine's inner white panel was soiled with brown residue on the food splash side. The inspector used an alcohol swab to wipe the brown residue. The machine was immediately shut down to be sanitized.
Recommendation: Ensure food only contacts surfaces of equipment and utensils that are cleaned and sanitized. Ensure food contact surfaces of equipment and utensils are clean to sight and touch.

Violation: The ice machine's inner white panel was soiled with pink residue on the food splash side. The inspector used an alcohol swab to wipe the pink residue. The machine was immediately shut down to be sanitized.

Site: Children Area-Play Area
Violation: The play area's decorative bulkhead was constructed out of Styrofoam. The Styrofoam was chipping, which made the area difficult to clean.
Recommendation: Ensure surfaces of tables, chairs, and other furnishings that children touch with their hands are cleanable.
