View/Print Summary Report  |  View/Print Corrective Action Statement
Item No.: 08
Site: Potable Water-Disinfection Records
Violation: The disinfection record documented the hot water line was disinfected at 50 ppm for only three hours on 3 April 2026 from 0100 - 0400. Staff stated this was a clerical error, and the hot water line was disinfected for the required four hours.
Recommendation: Maintain accurate documentation of all potable water system inspections, maintenance, cleaning, and disinfection for 12 months and ensure it is available for review during inspections. Ensure records include a method of disinfection, concentration and contact time of the disinfectant, and the measured free halogen residual after flushing.
Item No.: 08
Site: Potable Water-Cross-Connection Control Log
Violation: The cross-connection control log recorded seven testable backflow prevention assemblies as overdue for their inspection with the last inspection date in June 2025. Staff stated this was a clerical error. This was confirmed with a previous print-out from June 2026 that had the correct June 2026 inspection dates.
Recommendation: Retain the visual inspection and/or accurate test results for backflow prevention devices and air gaps for at least 12 months and ensure they are available for review during inspections.
Item No.: 08
Site: Pantry-8 Housekeeping Midship
Violation: The ice machine filter's backflow prevention device had a drain line attached to the atmospheric vent, which filled with water and did not properly drain due to the drain line angle.
Recommendation: Maintain backflow prevention devices in good repair.
Item No.: 10
Site: Recreational Water Facilities-Pool Maintenance Records
Violation: The recorded pool maintenance dates for all three pools in June and July 2026 did not accurately reflect when the hair and lint strainers were checked, so it appeared the hair and lint strainers were not inspected and disinfected at least weekly on two separate occasions (13 June to 22 June and 12 July to 21 July). Staff stated the dates were for the inspection of the cartridge filters, required every two weeks, and not for the hair and lint strainers. The only way to check if the hair and lint strainers were disinfected was by a yes or no column, which did not include a date. It was discussed adding a separate line when the cartridges and hair and lint strainer maintenance were completed on separate days.
Recommendation: Clean, rinse, and disinfect the hair and lint strainer and hair and lint strainer housing on all RWFs weekly. Ensure disinfection is accomplished with an appropriate halogen-based disinfectant. At a minimum, use a 50-mg/L (ppm) solution for 1 minute, or equivalent CT value. Maintain records on all inspection and cleaning procedures. Ensure if there is not a hair and lint strainer but there is a filter before the pump, this filter is cleaned, rinsed, and disinfected weekly.
Item No.: 21
Site: Bar-Deck 9 - Blue Iguana Tequila Bar
Violation: The tape around the multiflow hoses was in disrepair in the technical space below the soda gun. This was corrected before the end of the inspection.
Recommendation: Ensure nonfood-contact surfaces of equipment that are exposed to splash, spillage, or other food soiling or that require frequent cleaning are constructed of a corrosion-resistant, nonabsorbent, and smooth material. Ensure nonfood-contact surfaces are free of unnecessary ledges, projections, and crevices, and are designed and constructed to allow easy cleaning and to facilitate maintenance. Maintain nonfood-contact equipment in good repair and proper adjustment including: (1) Equipment must be maintained in a state of repair and condition that meets the materials, design, construction, and operation specifications of these standards.
Item No.: 39
Site: Food Service General-Flies
Violation: Flies were seen in the following food areas: Deck 9 - Blue Iguana Cantina Galley: A fly was behind the combination ovens. Deck 3 - Dining Room Starboard Side Pantry: A fly was near the coffee machine. A Deck - Crew Mess Team Dining Room #2: A fly was near the beverage station.
Recommendation: Effectively control the presence of insects, rodents, and other pests to minimize their presence in food areas.
Item No.: 26
Site: Buffet-Deck 9 - Open Deck
Violation: A yellow residue was inside one of the two previously cleaned and sanitized ice cream mix compartments of the ice cream machines at both the port and starboard side. The ice cream machines were cleaned immediately.
Recommendation: Ensure food-contact surfaces of equipment and utensils are clean to sight and touch.
Item No.: 27
Site: Galley-Deck 9 - Guy's Burger Joint
Violation: The exhaust hood overhang was soiled with more than a day's worth of cooking oil residue. The area was cleaned immediately.
Recommendation: Ensure nonfood-contact surfaces of equipment are kept free of an accumulation of dust, dirt, food residue, and other debris.
Item No.: 21
Site: Galley-Deck 9 - Guy's Burger Joint Show Galley
