Deck 2 - Main Galley Coffee Station - Four flies were behind the two ice machines, two flies were on the bulkhead near the water filling station, and three flies were around the juice/coffee station.

Recommendation:
Ensure light bulbs are shielded, coated, or otherwise shatter resistant in areas with exposed food; clean equipment, utensils, and linens; or unwrapped single-service articles and single-use articles.
Protect an infrared or other heat lamp against breakage by a shield surrounding and extending beyond the bulb so only the face of the bulb is exposed.

Violation:
Per the online reporting system, the 24-hour AGE report was submitted on 18 July 2026 at 1312, less than 24-hours prior to arrival in Seattle on 19 July 2026. Medical staff had a screenshot of the report, but it did not include the date or the time of submission.

Recommendation:
Ensure the master, medical staff, or other designated staff of a vessel destined for a U.S. port from an international port submits at least one standardized AGE report based on the number of reportable AGE cases in the AGE surveillance log to VSP no less than 24-hours?but not more than 36 hours?before the vessel?s expected arrival at the U.S. port.

Recreational Water Facilities-Maintenance

Violation:
The forward whirlpool was not drained every 72 hours. The chart records stated it was drained on 14, 22, and 29 July 2026. Additionally, the aft starboard whirlpool was drained on 22 July and was not recorded as drained on 25 July 2026; however, it was drained and under maintenance on 26 July 2026.
It was unknown if the hair and lint strainer and hair and lint strainer housing for all recreational water facilities were cleaned, rinsed, and disinfected weekly between 3 July 2026 and 31 July 2026. The printed paper records stated the facilities were maintained weekly on 3, 10, 17, 24, and 31 July 2026. However, on the chart records, a stamp stated the hair and lint strainer and hair and lint strainer housing were maintained only on 3, 23, and 31 July 2026. The stamps were missing for 10 and 17 July 2026 and conflicted with the paper records for the 24 July 2026.

Recommendation:
Change the whirlpool spa water, including compensation tank, filter housing, and associated piping, every 72 hours, provided that the system is operated continuously and that the correct water chemistry levels are maintained during that period, including daily shock halogenation.
Change spa pool water as often as necessary to maintain proper water chemistry. Change the water at least every 30 days.
Record the date and time of whirlpool spa and spa pool water changes in the log.
