Site: Potable Water-
Violation: THE POTABLE WATER LINES SUPPLYING THE HANDWASH AND EYE SINKS WERE NOT STRIPED BLUE IN THE HW CHEMICAL ROOM, FAN ROOM 2-2 AND THE POOL TECHNICAL ROOM #2. THIS WAS CORRECTED ON SITE IN THE POOL TECHNICAL ROOM #2.
Recommendation: Ensure that potable water piping and fittings are painted or stripped auxiliary blue, or in accordance with ISO 14726, at 5 m (15 feet) intervals on each side of partitions, decks, and bulkheads in all spaces, except where the decor would be marred by such markings.

Violation: THE POTABLE WATER HOSES USED FOR BUNKERING WERE NOT LABELED "POTABLE WATER ONLY" AT EACH CONNECTING END.
Recommendation: Ensure that potable water hoses are labeled for use with the words "potable water only" in letters at least 13mm (0.5 inch) at each connecting end.

Site: Galley-WALK-IN REFRIGERATOR
Violation: CONDENSATE WAS NOTED DRIPPING ON THE TOP OF THE DRY GOODS CONTAINERS(FLOUR, SUGAR, ETC.). THE SCOOPS FOR THE DRY GOODS WERE ON TOP OF THESE CONTAINERS.
Recommendation: Ensure that cleaned equipment and utensils, laundered linens, and single-service and single-use articles are stored: (1) In a clean, dry location; (2) Where they are not exposed to splash, dust, or other contamination; and (3) At least 150 mm (6 inches) above the deck.

Violation: THE RUBBERIZED MATERIAL ON THE WAITER TRAYS WAS PULLING AWAY FROM THE PLASTIC BOTTOM, MAKING CLEANING DIFFICULT.
Recommendation: Ensure that nonfood-contact surfaces are free of unnecessary ledges, projections, and crevices, and designed and constructed to allow easy cleaning and to facilitate maintenance.

Violation: PEELING SOFT SEALANT WAS NOTED IN THE FOOD CONTACT AREA OF THE POTATO PEELER, MAKING CLEANING DIFFICULT.
Recommendation: Ensure that materials used in the construction of multiuse utensils and food-contact surfaces of equipment are: (1) Durable, corrosion-resistant, and nonabsorbent; (2) Sufficient in weight and thickness to withstand repeated warewashing; (3) Finished to have a smooth, easily cleanable surface; and (4) Resistant to pitting, chipping, crazing, scratching, scoring, distortion, and decomposition.

Violation: THE PAPER TOWELS WERE WET AT THE HANDWASH STATION AND THE SOAP WAS VERY DILUTED.
Recommendation: Ensure that each handwashing facility has a supply of hand-cleansing soap or detergent and a supply of single-service paper towels available.

Site: DO NOT USE (whirlpool/spa)-
Violation: THE DOCUMENTATION ON THE ROUND METAL DRAIN COVERS THAT WERE LOCATED IN THE WHIRLPOOLS DID NOT INDICATE WHAT STANDARD WAS USED TO TEST THE DRAINS. THESE DRAINS EXISTED AS SINGLE DRAINS IN THE TRADITIONAL ROUND WHIRLPOOL SPAS.
Recommendation: Ensure that anti-entrapment drain covers or other drains that prevent entrapment hazards as specified in U.S. Consumer Product Safety Publication 363-009801 (dual drains/channel drains) are provided on swimming pools and whirlpool spas. Ensure that drain covers have either the plumbing/engineering approving organization stamp and flow rate affixed to the cover, or that a letter is maintained aboard the vessel certifying that the cover meets the safety requirements outlined in AMSE/ANSI A112.19.8M or an equivalent standard.

Violation: A STANDARD PRECAUTIONS AND RISKS SIGN WAS NOT LOCATED AT ANY OF THE SPA POOLS.
Recommendation: Ensure that a sign is installed near the whirlpool spas that lists standard safety precautions and risks, warning against use by particularly susceptible people, such as those who are immunocompromised.

Violation: DEPTH MARKERS WERE NOT PROVIDED AT THE SHALLOW ENDS OF THE H20 ZONE POOL THAT HAD THE WATER FALL FEATURE.
Recommendation: Ensure that the depth of each pool is prominently displayed so that it can be seen from the deck and in the pool. Ensure that depth markers are labeled in feet or meters, or both. Additionally, ensure that depth markers are installed for every 1 m (3 feet) in change of depth.

Site: Recreational Water Facilities-SPA POOLS
Violation: FOR A FEW DAYS IN SEVERAL OF THE SPA POOLS THE FREE HALOGEN RESIDUAL WAS NOT RAISED TO 10 PPM AND CIRCULATED FOR 1 HOUR AT THE END OF THE DAY. PER THE STAFF THESE WERE DAYS WHEN THERE WERE EVENING PARTIES AND THE SPA POOL WAS NOT CLOSED UNTIL 2-3 AM THE FOLLOWING DAY. THE SUPER HALOGENATION WAS NOT PERFORMED AT THAT CLOSING BUT WAS DONE AT THE END OF THE NEXT OPERATING CYCLE. THE TIME FRAME BETWEEN SUPER HALOGENATION WAS SOMETIMES 48 HOURS LONG.
Recommendation: Ensure that the free residual halogen is increased to at least 10.0 mg/L (ppm) in whirlpool spas and circulated for at least 1 hour at the end of each day.

Site: Housekeeping-DECK 2 MIDSHIP PUBLIC TOILET ROOM
Violation: THE WASTE BINS WERE TOO FAR FROM THE DOORS TO ALLOW FOR EXIT WITHOUT BARE HANDS CONTACT.
Recommendation: Equip public toilet facilities so that persons exiting the toilet room are not required to handle the door with bare hands. This may be accomplished by methods such as locating paper towel dispensers at sinks and waste containers near the room door, installing mechanically operated doors, door removal, or other effective means.

Violation: THE LEFT HOT HOLDING UNIT WAS POSTED OUT OF ORDER. STAFF STATED THAT THIS UNIT HAS BEEN OUT OF ORDER FOR SEVERAL WEEKS.

Violation: THE HANDLES OF THE SERVING UTENSILS WERE IN DIRECT CONTACT WITH THE FOOD. THIS WAS NOTED ON ONE TRAY OF HONEYDEW MELON AND ONE TRAY OF CANTALOUPE ON THE BUFFET SERVICE LINE.
Recommendation: During pauses in food preparation or dispensing, ensure that food preparation and dispensing utensils are stored: (1) In the food with their handles above the top of the food and the container.

Site: Buffet-LIDO STARBOARD SIDE
Violation: A FEW ONE HALF PINT CONTAINERS OF MILK WERE MEASURED WITH AN INTERNAL TEMPERATURE OF 44F TO 46F IN THE REACH-IN REFRIGERATOR AT 0930. THESE ITEMS WERE ON THE TOP SHELF NEAR THE DOOR. ALL OTHER ITEMS MEASURED 41F TO 43F IN THE SAME UNIT. STAFF STATED THAT A TEMPERATURE CHECK WAS PERFORMED AT 0730 AND ITEMS MEASURED 39F. ALL ITEMS WERE IN THE UNIT OVERNIGHT AND WERE PLACED IN THE BLAST CHILLER.
Recommendation: Except during preparation, cooking, or cooling, or when time is used as the public health control, ensure that potentially hazardous food is maintained: (1) At 60C (140F) [roasts 54C (130F)] or above, or (2) At 5C (41F) or less.
