The Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR), a public health agency of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, today announced that agency representatives will host a public availability session on Oct. 7 concerning the Naval Construction Battalion Center site in Gulfport, Miss.
The session will be held Oct. 7 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Isiah Fredericks Community Center, 3312 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Gulfport, MS 39501.
A public availability session affords community members the opportunity to meet one-on-one with ATSDR environmental health scientists to discuss health concerns that may be site-related. Community health concerns are evaluated as a part of the public health assessment process.
