ATSDR to Hold a Public Availability Session in Alberton, Montana

What: The Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR), a public health agency of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, will hold a public availability session in Alberton, Montana, on Wednesday, December 8, 1999.

ATSDR will hold the availability/poster session to discuss agency findings from the Phase II Study Report on Chronic Health Effects related to the Alberton Train Derailment and Chlorine Release. The study report will be released for public review and comment on December 1, 1999.

The public availability session will take place at the Alberton Grade School, 306 Railroad Avenue, Alberton, Montana, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Public availability sessions are not intended to be large-scale meetings. Instead, community members are invited to drop in at any time during the session and meet one-on-one with ATSDR staff to discuss health and site concerns. Attendance is open to the public.

Residents who are interested in reviewing a copy of the study report can do so at one of the repositories in the area. Repository locations include:
