    Baseline use of safety eyewear were established for citrus harvesting crews before assessing intervention strategies. Intervention strategies included peer worker training of safety glasses, eye safety education and treatment of minor eye injuries prior to monitoring safety eyewear use. The community health worker model improved injury prevention practices.
