This elderly woman was admitted to a clinical setting with a swelling of her right parotid salivary gland, which was diagnosed as a case of staphylococcal parotitis. From this right anterior-oblique view of her face, you’re able to see the enlargement in the region of right cheek, as well as some overlying erythema, or redness.
