This image depicts a man with diabetes in the background, listening to a community health worker, familiar with the necessary proactive approach one must implement in order to maintain control over the detrimental effects of this disease. The health worker was providing answers to questions posed by the patient regarding actions he would need to take, enabling him to lead a healthy, active life with diabetes. She was referencing a spiral bound manual created by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention entitled, “Controle Su Diabetes”, which translated into English means, “Control Your Diabetes”.
