After having boarded this elevator, this woman had pressed the desired button, choosing the eighth floor as her destination. Equipped with a right lower limb prosthesis, she was inside a building located on one of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) campuses, where attention to the environmental details, implemented in order to accommodate people with disabilities, is given great consideration, when designing the organization’s highly accessible facilities.
