Caption:
This image depicted a group of epidemiologists in the process of conducting an analysis on a domesticated dog, in order to determine if it had come into contact with plague infected prey, including rodents or rabbits. Here, they were extracting a blood sample from the canine, which would subsequently be tested for the presence of antibodies indicating whether or not this dog had been exposed to plague.
